Corporate sponsors have fun and do good at the same time.

Andrew Fisher, Director of Business Services, Rema Tip Top Australia, talks about the Lynne King Cancer Care Foundation's Annual Gala Dinner held on 17th August 2013.

What do you see as the benefits for corporate sponsors?

"I think the Foundation is a great opportunity for corporate sponsors for a number of reasons. Firstly it's a cause that is different. Helping families struggling financially with a member of the family battling cancer is a cause not often in the spotlight and the Foundation offers practical help."

"The Gala Dinner is another good opportunity. Rather than taking a number of clients to the footy or other sporting event, corporates can organise a table of ten at the Gala Dinner, have a great night out and know they are helping struggling families. It's a different way for businesses to say 'thank you' to clients or staff - everyone can have fun and do some good at the same time."

What impressed you most about the Foundation's Annual Gala Dinner?

"The evening is a fun night out; my wife Lesley and I enjoyed it enormously. What also impressed me was that it wasn't a 'pockets burner' event, i.e. the Foundation wasn't out to extract every single dollar from you on the night. Also, it wasn't about big egos making ridiculously big bids on items. The evening was more about enjoying some good company and some excellent entertainment while knowing it was all helping a worthy cause; the 'Tenors Undercover' in particular was very entertaining and had the whole audience fooled."

Will you be coming back to the next Gala Diner?

"Definitely. As well as being very entertaining the evening was extremely well organised and ran like clockwork. Kudos to the organisers!"

What do you think about the work the Foundation does?

"Financial problems are an additional strain a family doesn't need to cope with during such a difficult time and this is where the Foundation steps in."

"It makes you think how families cope with a family member fighting cancer when they are already on the edge financially. How are they going to afford getting to and from treatments? How are they going to afford to pay the bills with a breadwinner out of action? Get the kids to school? etc. Whatever lifestyle you had would completely go out the window."

"The Foundation is very connected to and supported by local communities. It goes about its business without a lot of fuss or fanfare and you can see that every dollar raised goes directly to those that need it the most."

We need your support as a Corporate sponsor

As a growing grass roots charity your support as a corporate sponsor will not go unnoticed or unvalued.

The Foundation has nearly 1,500 individuals and businesses counted among our supporters and every year the Annual Gala Dinner is attended by over 300 corporate and private guests.

The Lynne King Cancer Care Foundation is a registered Public Benevolent Institution with all donations being fully tax deductible. All those associated with the foundation, including the trustees, are volunteers and receive no payment either directly or indirectly for their services. This means every dollar donated goes directly to those in need.
